CNC & Laser

CNC

All the cutting of material is done by our CNC punch press and laser machines. We have two CNC punch press machines one of which is self-loading, these can take sheet sizes up to 2500mmx1250mm and thicknesses of up to 6mm material. We have two CNC Laser cutting machines which can take sheet sizes up to 3000mm and can cut up to 10mm material, the benefit of laser cutting is that it can cut more difficult shapes without the need to purchase tools to suit, which helps the customer achieve their needs in the quickest possible time. To bend and shape our products we have six press brake folding machines which can fold up to 3000mm in length and up to 10mm in sheet thickness, all the above machines are CNC operated and the programming software that we use allows us to make the manufacturing processes seamless and very efficient. We have tig and mig welding facilities and have the capability to weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Also on-site we have a CNC tube folder which can form shapes of round tubing from 10mm to 60mm.

CNC Machining is a process used in the manufacturing sector that involves the use of computers to control machine tools. Tools that can be controlled in this manner include punch press, laser and other bending & forming tools . The CNC in CNC Machining stands for Computer Numerical Control.

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut materials, metals in our case and is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications, but is also starting to be used by schools, small businesses, and hobbyists. Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser most commonly through optics.
